Bass Camp

Bass Camp today was steady with little Saugers and a few short Walleyes. We did bring home 5 Saugers for dinner and caught a few Cats. The biggest Cat was 5 or 6 pounds, at least they add excitement to the day. The ice was 8 - 12 inch of ice.....

RE: Bass Camp

What was the hot lure today?
And what depth were you catching them at?

I can't say that what I do is wrong because I don't really know what I'm doing.

RE: Bass Camp

I have not been up top this year. I have been down stream of the restaurant. And it is safe but you need to watch for the wing dams. If you know where those are at there is no problem. On Saturday you could see them because they had open water over the top of them, but you need to be careful after the snow because they can get covered up. I was fishing 30 to 150 yards down stream of the wing dam and we had 8- 15 inches of ice depending where you where. Caution is the better part of valor when it comes to ice fishing around wing dams. As for fishing up by the wall; I never have felt to safe up there because they do change the water flow and I do not know what that can do to ice stability?????

just exactly where is the restaurant? I've been to bass camp during the spring but didn't recall seeing a restaurant.
